The Office For Life Sciences Skills Team have recently drawn attention to a survey that UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) have just launched, looking into the experience of UK-based R&D businesses when navigating the UK immigration system, for example when recruiting talent from overseas.
OLS have engaged with colleagues across BEIS and UKRI over the last couple of months to provide input into the survey, ensuring it’s best equipped to gather insightful, detailed responses from a broad range of our valued stakeholders.
The Office for Life Sciences hope that the responses gathered will go on to improve the experience of the UK immigration system for businesses spanning all UK R&D sectors. The more survey responses, the more representative and valuable the data gathered through this exercise will be. In particular, the OLS are keen to stress that more detailed responses gathered from life sciences representatives will give us a better evidence base to consider policy options to address any issues raised, so we’d urge you to take the time to complete the survey as thoroughly and accurately as possible. The OLS will be able to view responses submitted by individuals from the life sciences sector, as there will be a question asking which industry you operate in.
The survey can be found at the following webpage and will remain open until 28th January 2022.
