SIP Members celebrate at CIA Awards


SIP Member GSK (Montrose) has won the CIA Skills Award, which was announced at the Chemical Industry Awards Dinner on 13 June in Liverpool.

They were able to illustrate really well how skills activity supports the company’s strategic business plan and how it is owned by the business. The company is committed to a continuous learning approach to developing employees

Hallam Wheatley, from SIP member SABIC won the Young Ambassador of the year.

As part of his prize he will now lead the CIA’s young person’s network, ‘The Future Forum’ championing the views of young people within the chemical industry, as well as working to change public perceptions about “who we are and what we do”.

The Chemical Industry Awards are the premier accolades for the UK chemical industry. They are designed to offer a unique opportunity to highlight and promote excellent performance at the company, site or individual level.
