New measures to back business, boost innovation and supercharge UK science
The government has unveiled plans to drive jobs, skills, and opportunity across the whole of the UK.
Andrea Leadsom, The Business and Energy Secretary has announced a package of new measures to support UK researches and businesses to innovate and embrace the green technological revolution.
Boost to UK's world-leading health technologies and life-sciences sector
The government has announced a new dedicated investment programme of around £600 million to unlock the potential of the UK's best health and life science innovations. This investment will allow companies to grow and support the UK as one of the most successful health and life science industries in the world.
The funding will comprise of a £200 million investment through the government-owned British Business Bank alongside private sector investment which is expected to contribute £400 million. The investment will contribute a further £400 million, creating high quality jobs and UK patients will be benefit from more ground-breaking treatments and care.
