Following careful consideration of the current course of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we will not be travelling to, hosting or attending external meetings.
We have made this decision in the interests of the health and wellbeing of our staff, members and skills partners and following the advice of the NHS, and the response of Government to move into “delay phase”.
As the pandemic unfolds, the importance of partnerships will become ever more apparent and we remain absolutely committed to working with all our members. We remain very much open for business and we will continue to conduct as much of our work as we can remotely and continue to provide you with a full range of skills services and advice.
All careers materials are available to SIP Ambassadors at Cogent learn www.cogentlearn.com and we are also looking at ways in which we can provide some virtual training (if you have forgotten your login please email email@example.com)
The SIP Apprenticeship Benchmarking service is still available to members via virtual means. We will be moving all of our SIP meetings, including the SIP Board, SIPPI, SIATE and SIP Regional Groups into virtual meetings. For members who are undertaking any recruitment or apprenticeship business with Cogent Skills, please note the following:
Apprenticeship recruitment: the recruitment team is still working hard to support both employers and candidates seeking apprenticeships – we don’t want to see anyone miss an opportunity due to the pandemic and are carrying on using remote methods.
Training delivery: Much of the delivery we undertake is a blend of face-to-face and online. Under the circumstances the only change we will make is to conduct face-to-face training by phone or Skype type facilities. Your Member Manager will keep in touch with you, and we’ll keep the situation under review and update you if there are any further developments.
With best wishes from the SIP Membership Team
